So the Q&A wrapped up a little while ago and it was lots of fun! Some really good questions, and answers! I tried to put together a bit of a transcript for people who missed it, though if you're on twitter you can just scroll through the tweets, but for those not on twitter or just want a quick read-through I thought it might be nice to have.
@KayBeeTodd How many songs are on your new album, and do they feature any guest artists (since I know you've worked with other artists at times)?
>>> There are 11 songs on the album I’ve worked with a lot of fantastic musicians and people on it. No one “featured” though. I’m the only voice crooning. Quite fancy doing a duet on the next one though
@Coyle_Fans Any idea who? Or who would be your dream duet partner?
>>> All time dream duet would be the goddess @KateBushMusic I love @AngelOlsen’s voice as well. Think we’d croon well together
@Coyle_Fans Fiona on fb asks: do you think one day you may ever move back to Otley ? If not is America home for good now
>>> Though I miss England and especially Yorkshire, New York feels very much like Home to me
@KayBeeTodd Do you consider yourself mainly: singer, songwriter, producer, other (what?)
>>> I consider myself all of those things
@KayBeeTodd What projects are you currently working on?
>>> A lot of fun things - Working on my next 2 solo albums! 3 very exciting musical projects! Writing for lots of fantastically talented bands and recording artists. And some secret stuff
@kwhitt1818 Why did you recently tweet that you were recording Christmas songs? Is that for you or some other project?
>>> Because everyone loves a Christmas song! ;)
@kwhitt1818 I agree!! But you never play the one you already wrote for us?! Does this mean we will get to hear a new one...lol??
>>> I felt compelled to write and record more Christmas songs
@kwhitt1818 Can you give a bit more info about the musicals you are working on?
>>> They’re all a bit secret right now so I can’t I’m afraid
@Coyle_Fans What inspired the songs? What influences did you have making this record?
>>> Heartbreak, love and life inspired the songs. I let my voice lead the songwriting. I’d say Roy Orbison, Ennio Morricone, Giacomo Puccini and David Bowie were my constant influences
@AlanToddWHS Is your tour going to hit the the Los Angeles area?
>>> I’ll will definitely be taking the music on the road and will be in LA. I start rehearsals with the band in a few weeks
@AlanToddWHS We look forward to seeing you again!
>>> Look forward to see you as well
@SofiiAlbarran What/who was your inspiration to write "In your arms"?
>>> Missing an ex girlfriend one day
@SofiiAlbarran Sweet. Did she ever find out?
>>> I don’t think so
@SofiiAlbarran Also, how did it end up on a TV show? Since it's not officially out yet, how did they come across the song, did they offer a recording session or did you offer what you already had?
>>> We gave the music to the music supervisors on the show early and they loved it! I was very happy to see it out there, even before the album because I have no patience!
[Note: the show is called Startup]
@mysteeb So, let’s talk tour dates after the new album. 😁 Any plans to head out on the road? We miss you!
>>> I miss you all as well! I will keep you posted on touring plans. It’s in the works still but I hope to try and get to you all. And this album is going to be so fun to play live!
@mysteeb Tell us a little about your new album. Is there something on it or about it that you’re especially proud of?
>>>All of it! It’s my favorite album I’ve ever made! I’ve put a lot into it and I love it. I’m very excited to share it with you all. Feel like I’ve set my vocal chords free on this one
@mysteeb Have you written any songs out right now that other artists have released?
>>>Yeah! I’ll set up a playlist on my @spotify page with them in and share it on here with you
@CoyleGirelli Thank you guys! That was fun. Let’s do it again next week! Lots of love to you all xx
